The Acting Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Honourable Siromi Turaga, met with the Minister for Policing and Communications Honourable Ioane Naivalurua
6 March 2026The New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, H.E. Greg Andrews, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Honourable Siromi Turaga, yesterday morning.
During the meeting, Honourable Turaga highlighted the strong and longstanding bilateral relationship between Fiji and New Zealand, underpinned by mutual respect and shared democratic values.
Hon Turaga acknowledged New Zealand’s ongoing support to Fiji in areas such as governance, justice, education and climate resilience and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation in strengthening justice sector institutions and promoting access to justice.
High Commissioner Andrews thanked Honourable Turaga for the warm welcome and reaffirmed New Zealand’s commitment to its partnership with Fiji.
He acknowledged the close cooperation between the two countries and expressed appreciation for the work undertaken within the justice sector.
Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening ties and continuing constructive engagement for the benefit of the two countries.
